Any tour of Italy must include the Amalfi coast, a day trip to Capri, and a room with a view of the amazing coastline. We used bookings.com to find our hotel just North of Sorrento. Cubo Apartment Resort keeps beautiful suites and multi room apartments with views over the city towards the sea. We were expecting a typical hotel experience, but in the first few minutes, host and proprietor Alfonso Villani made us feel like part of the family.
There are seven apartment style rooms spread across two properties. The first property includes five suites, a restaurant, bar, and small casino — all tastefully decorated with top quality.
There is outdoor and indoor seating.
The second property is a 350 year old villa, thoroughly renovated and modernized with larger suites that can accommodate up to four adults. Balconies and vies are prominent. All rooms are air conditioned and ours worked well.
Our apartment “Aurora Borealis” was spacious and very well appointed with luxury touches everywhere.
There is a five minute walk to get from the upper villa to the restaurant, but it is very pleasant.
Come for the rooms but stay for the cooking.
We discovered that the restaurant serves one of a kind creations with organic and fresh ingredients from the local garden. Host and expert chef Anna and her crew present authentic Mediterranean dishes that are innovative and fantastically presented.
We were offered free shuttle service to local beaches and the staff went out of their way to meet our every need.
The hosts and staff are exceptional and speak English very well. Mikhail remember our breakfast preferences each morning.
Our room included wifi internet and breakfast. Rates range from €74 to €269 (for bigger 4 people apartments) per night double occupancy. We expect there will be a long waiting list when this experience is discovered. Book it now if you can.
